Export your contacts to a comma delimited (.csv) file. Outlook and Gmail provide
an export utility but you can create the .csv file however you like in accordance
with the sample files referred to above.
To export your contacts from Outlook, follow the steps below or
refer to the Outlook Help file for more information:
- Start Outlook.
- Click then "File" menu and then "Import and Export" from the drop-down list.
- Select "Export to a File" in the export wizard form and click "Next".
- Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" and click "Next".
- Select you Contacts folder and click "Next".
- Enter the file name and destination for the exported information or use the "Browse"
button to choose a folder.
- Confirm the export action by clicking the "Finished" button.
To export your contacts from Gmail, follow the steps below or refer
to the Gmail Help file for more information:
- Login to your Gmail account.
- Click the "Contacts" link.
- Click the "Export" link.
- Choose the contact type to export and set the Export Format to "Outlook CSV
format".
- Click the "Export" button.
- Save the file when prompted.
